29er Racing Ralphs in Tubeless!

Yep, you read right - we have just received our first delivery of 29er Racing Ralph Tubeless Ready tyres and they are available both in store and online.

Possibly the most in-demand tyre we have seen in a long time, the 29er Tubeless Ralph is a new model for the 2011 Schwalbe tyre range and uses the new bead system that allows you to run these tyres as a tubeless setup when paired with tubeless compatible rims.
All you need to do is add some sealant to ensure its all airtight, and you're good to go!

Unlike full UST tyres, these "Tubeless Ready" Schwalbe tyres do not use a full butyl lining to keep the tyre airtight. Instead, they rely on a small amount of Stans No Tubes Sealant to keep things sealed, which also prevents small pinhole punctures too.
However, the new Ralphs use the thicker UST bead to ensure a nice tight fit on the rim.
With this extra beef, it's a a bit of a surprise that they've only added about 30gm of weight on a tyre, and you'll be happy to know that we are selling these tyres at the same price as the older non-tubeless version.

Check out the new Schwalbe Racing Ralph 29er Tyre online.

Whilst on the subject of 29er tyres, we have had a couple of new additions to our lineup in the past couple of weeks, bringing the total number of available options in stock to 9, 2 of which are tubeless.
The new Maxxis Ardent 29er Tyre provides riders with a nice 2.25" wide tyre that is suitable for loose, rocky and dry conditions and will be very popular over Summer for areas such as the You Yangs, Yarra Trails, Westerfolds, Bendigo and Ballarat.
If you're searching for more cornering grip than a Crossmark or Small Block 8 provides, this is the tyre for you, and at just $59.95 per tyre, it's a very cheap upgrade to make.

Also now available in Australia is the Maxxis Ignitor 29er Tyre that will provide all the grip you could possibly need for XC and trail riding in all conditions. It's toothy profile gives you confident handling and cornering in the loosest of terrain, and although it's not as fast rolling as a Crossmark or Racing Ralph, it holds on like no-ones business!
Like the other Maxxis Tyres in the 29" size, it's only $59.95 a tyre, and is available both in store and online.

As you can see by the photo below, we have a pretty impressive range of aftermarket tyres available and are sure to have a tyre for all conditions to suit the needs of even the fussiest of riders. We even have some demo tyres for customers to try out free of charge if you want to see what all the hype is about.
Or you can just ask Mark, Ben, Jerry, Greg or Wil in store for a recommendation, and we'll do our best to hook you up with some fresh rubber.
