29er riders rejoice!
We've had an influx of new options for 29er riders in recent months, with 2 new additions from Maxxis also bringing full UST Tubeless compatibility. If you've been wanting to setup your bike tubeless, we now have both the Maxxis Crossmark and Maxxis Ardent 29er tyres in UST, joining the Tubeless Ready Schwalbe Racing Ralph and Nobby Nic tyres.
The Crossmark is a bit of a legend on the Aussie race circuit, having become a firm favorite with XC riders wanting a fast, lightweight race tyre that is grippy and predictable in dry and rocky conditions. While not particularly good in mud, the Crossmark is a great choice for drier days out on the trails at You Yangs and Woodend, due to it's consistent tread pattern and high-volume construction. The Lust Tubeless model also comes with a slightly softer rubber compound that is grippier than the cheaper versions, and the finely woven 120 TPI (threads per inch) carcass aids in the tyres ability to mould and shape over trail obstacles, giving you more traction and a better ride. Normally selling at $79.95 per tyre, we have the Maxxis Crossmark Tubeless tyres available at an introductory price of $69.95 each.

For riders wanting a bigger profile tyre that is suited to a wider variety of conditions, you would be hard pressed to go past the Maxxis Ardent. At 2.25" wide with a big casing, the Ardent can be run at lower pressures giving you a smoother ride and even more traction. It's more aggressive tread pattern isn't as fast as the Crossmark, though the extra grip you get in loose, rocky terrain will have you riding faster and with more confidence when the going gets fast and technical. The 29er Ardent UST also gets the higher quality 120 TPI casing and rubber for a better ride quality than the cheaper versions.
