Let's get ready to ruuuuummmmbble!! 2012 Trek Rumblefish Pro crashes My Mountain HQ

A 5" travel 29er? You must be joking!
Yes - and no, we are not joking ladies & gents; welcome to the future of mountain biking - the 2012 Trek Rumblefish Pro is here and ready to destroy trails everywhere!

Possibly one of the most exciting bikes we have received for the 2012 riding season, the Trek Rumblefish is a sign of things to come with its beefy thru-axle frame & fork, 120mm of DRCV Fox Suspension, fat 2.35" Bontrager tyres and a riding position that will see you comfortably hitting drops and railing berms at speed. This bike is all about riding technical singletrack and keeping things stable and smooth in the rough stuff that would upset its smaller 26" wheeled siblings.

Aside from looking ridiculously hot in its Matte Sepia colourway, the Rumblefish has a lot going on for 2012 with some massive upgrades over previous Fish's, including the brand-new-for-2012 DRCV Fox Fork. Like the DRCV rear shock that first features on the 2009 Gary Fisher Roscoe, the new Fox Fork uses a dual air chamber design that allows for a much smoother and linear transition through the mid to end stroke of the travel. Implemented to match the DRCV Fox Float rear shock, the Rumblefish achieves "coil like" plushness and a super balanced feel between the front and rear wheels unlike any other bike on the market.

The Rumblefish features a QR15 thru axle fork up front with a Tapered headtube that makes for a massively stiff interface on the front of the bike. To match the front, the rear axle is a 142x12mm Maxle that increases lateral rigidity and adds to the overall handling of the bike - a must have on a 29er dually.

With prices dropping across the board, while spec and frames are actually improving, the 2012 Trek mountain bike range is looking tough to beat. We've got a lot of the new 2012 bikes currently arriving, so drop into My Mountain if you want to get some fresh wheels for the Summer season.
